CARE – Three Shift System is a new work by Jasna Layes Vinovrški, created in collaboration with three performers—Koraljka Begović, Melita Spahić Bezjak, and Larisa Lipovac Navojec—who are, at the same time, producers, heads of art organizations, mothers, partners, daughters... Women who have had to develop and juggle multiple caregiving roles across different aspects of their lives.

The research process explored how this interplay of care and identity is reflected in their bodies and experiences. Does it manifest as a sense of control? As a constant need for vigilance? As a state of perpetual readiness? And where does this relentless demand for care—without fixed working hours—originate?

These deeply personal questions are interwoven with broader global issues: we are having fewer children while simultaneously living longer, making care not just a personal matter but one of survival—for individuals and for humanity as a whole.
